FAQ

Why aren’t we having Christmas at DPAC this year?

While DPAC is a great venue, we weren’t able to secure enough dates for Christmas this year. Instead of turning people away with limited service times, we saw the opportunity to host Christmas With the Summit in four great locations around the Triangle. This way, we hope you’ll invite even more of your friends, family, neighbors, and Ones to celebrate with us.

Where should I attend Christmas With the Summit?
For those who usually attend our Alamance County campus, your closest location is Downtown Durham.

For those who usually attend our Apex campus, your closest location is Apex.

For those who usually attend our Blue Ridge campus, your closest location is Capital Hills.

For those who usually attend our Brier Creek campus, your closest location is Capital Hills.

For those who usually attend our Capital Hills campus, your closest location is Capital Hills.

For those who usually attend our Chapel Hill campus, your closest location is Downtown Durham.

For those who usually attend our Downtown Durham campus, your closest location is Downtown Durham.

For those who usually attend our Garner campus, your closest location is Apex.

For those who usually attend our North Durham campus, your closest location is Downtown Durham.

For those who usually attend our Summit en Español campuses (Brier Creek and Capital Hills), your closest location is Summit en Español (Brier Creek location).

Do I need a ticket to attend the service?
Yes. All tickets will be scanned upon entry. If you have a ticket your party is not using, please turn it in to someone at the door. If you need a ticket day-of, please find a volunteer who can assist you.
Do I need a ticket for my child?
Whether your child is attending the service or joining us in Summit Kids, a corresponding ticket is required to enter the building. Due to limited space, pre-registration is required for childcare. If you choose to take your children into the service (which we encourage!), they must have an event ticket registration for that service time.
Can I exchange or return tickets?
Yes, you can exchange or return your tickets in several ways:

  • Your campus’ Facebook group,
  • Our Facebook event page, or
  • The “donate back tickets you won’t be using” link in your confirmation email.

What time should I arrive?
Lobby doors will open one hour prior to each service. Auditorium doors will open 15 minutes prior to each service. We suggest that you plan on arriving 30 to 45 minutes prior to the service, leaving you plenty of time to park, check in your kids, and walk inside.
I have a large group that would like to sit together. How can we make that happen?
Keep in mind that all services are at capacity. While we want to honor your desire to sit with friends and family, we’d ask that you wait in the lobby until your entire party is together and enter the auditorium as a group.
Will any services be livestreamed?
Each service will be streamed live at live.summitchurch.com. We will stream the 4 p.m. service on Facebook and YouTube as well.
Are you providing a low sensory service?
Yes, there will be a low sensory service offered at the Downtown Durham Campus during the 11:30 a.m. service. This is a service for adults of all abilities to worship together in a community where all members are both active participants and meaningful contributors. It is designed to be friendly for those with sensory sensitivities. Please contact Haleigh Sears for more information.
How will the offering from Christmas With the Summit be used?
We’ll be taking up a special offering at these services, and not a dime of it will be staying here at the Summit. We’ll be using this money to further the cause of international missions, sending it to organizations like Send Relief, the IMB, and many of our local outreach partners.
